Unfortunately, our budget currently supports “charmingly simple website” mode—so group transactions still require a little old-school tech and manual processes.

Small Groups (2-4 People)
For small groups of people, we kindly ask that you register each person as a separate transaction as we need their names, badge name, meal preference and emergency contact entered.
Large Groups (6+ People)
Please start by emailing us at carolinageologicalsociety@gmail.com of your intent to register a large group, preferably within the first two weeks of Registration opening. This helps us determine capacity early in the process as the number of registration spots are limited.
Steps for Large Group Registration
- Complete a spreadsheet with all the registration details, per registrant, as shown in the example below. Please make sure to indicate the ‘group leader’.

2. Determine your group’s total payment by totaling the costs in the spreadsheet as indicated above.
3. Use this group registration page to add appropriate items to the cart (see items below). For example, if there are 6 members registering for Sunday-Discount Rate, click on Add to Cart for that item 6 times; alternatively, you can add each item type (i.e. Sunday Trip, Friday dinner, etc.) once and adjust the count of each item once you click View Cart.
4. Choose “view cart”. Confirm quantities in the cart and total cost is accurate for your group BEFORE submitting payment. Please keep in mind that, with registration limits, space will be allotted by the payment time stamp. Refunds will be processed if needed.
5. Proceed to payment. You will need to fill out the badge name, emergency contact, etc. required fields for the group leader, even though it is in the spreadsheet because we can’t afford a fancy website 🙂
6. Within 2 business days of payment, please email the spreadsheet with totals carolinageologicalsociety@gmail.com.
